The graphic eyeliner that you can’t resist to stare.

During SS15 catwalk runways, graphic eyeliner went uncontrollably well demanded and all the high-end supermodels among the major fashion houses were lined with heavy strokes of eyeliner that were created way too beyond imagination and hence with that as an inspiration, recently I’ve tried to recreate the graphic eyeliner look that is still quite wearable off the runway yet represents it in a unique way too. Plus, having said that you could do so many variations in defining a graphic eyeliner, now let us see how this recreation is going to make a mark on it.

So, what is a graphic eyeliner?

A graphic eyeliner is an artistic interpretation of an eyeliner that is applied onto your eyes yet in a creative way and this art of beauty was overwhelmed immensely on the SS15 collections including Versace and Givenchy and now, you could able to realise how important it is among the beauty gurus in general.

Products and tools:

How to recreate the graphic eyeliner?

  1. Start the procedure with the freshly cleaned and washed face.
  2. Apply the Laura Mercier eye primer all over the eye.
  3. Now, take the Lancome Ombre Hynose blue eyeshadow and using eyeshadow brush, just slather it liberally by covering all across the eyelid.
  4. Then, take the biscuity golden shade from the Maybelline NewYork The Nudes Eye Palette and using your fingers, just dab it from the inner of the eye to the middle of the eye and not to forget, you just need to cover the eyelid and not to go beyond anywhere.
  5. After that, take the Maybelline NewYork Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner and run along a thick line that is close to the upper lash line and finish off the eyeliner with a perfect winged cat eye look by extending the eyeliner tilting upwards right from the outer corner of the eye.
  6. Next, take the L’Oreal Paris black pencil eyeliner and run it across the crease area by starting from the end of the crease to the middle of the crease and then using blending brush, buff and blend the black hue several times back and froth across the crease to give a nice smokey effect and you could also build up the intense look simultaneously.
  7. Then, take the dark shimmery brown shade from the Maybelline NewYork The Nudes Eye Palette and using blending brush, just smear it around the outer section of the crease area by doing a front and back arched motions and in this way, when you open your eyes, the dark eye shadow just stands out like a glistening star.
  8. Now, take the Barry M kohl pencil No.29 and apply the copper shade just below to the lower waterline, which also aids to make the eyes to pop out instantly.
  9. Subsequently, take the Maybelline NewYork Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner and draw a thick line under the copper line.
  10. Now, take the L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Shaper and create the brow shape as per desired.
  11. Then, take the highlighter from the Bourjois Duo Bronzing Powder and Highlighter and apply it onto the brow bone area.
  12. Finally, start off the mascara routine by curling your lashes with eye lash curler and then, using L’Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar Mascara, apply a thick coat of primer onto the lashes first with No.1 brush and then, followed by plenty of coatings of mascara with brush No.2 to give a million lashes effect.
  13. Now, your graphic eyeliner is quintessentially ready to show off (the picture at the top shows the completed look).

A beginner’s guideline to get intense smokey eye look.

As, it is Friday today, I think it could never be any better to give some supplementary information on how to follow certain guidelines and rules to get an intense smokey eye look as a beginner and also, I will be mentioning you with some tips and tricks here and there that could be very much handy when you try to recreate this smokey eye look by yourself. Plus, mastering the smokey eye is one of those essential makeup skills that every girl needs and getting it done correctly is another major achievement and hence, even though I am not an expert still I will be talking through some of the simple and easy steps to catch on which could faultlessly transform you to the beauty world of smokey eyes.

Recently, on the Magic Mike XXL’s London premiere, the 29-year-old Hollywood actress, Amber Heard appeared on the red carpet by wearing an eye-catching fiery red dress along with the stunning, smokey eye that looked absolutely flawless in all ways plus it was so intense too and hence, with that as an inspiration, I started myself to get a hang onto the smokey eye look and I wish to share the same with you as well.

Beginner’s ultimate key:

As a debutant, I agree that getting a smokey eye done as a pro is a difficult task but instead it could also be achieved if you are bold enough to take care of some of the ultimate key points which could easily take you straight to the final destination of smokey eye world. So, let’s see what are those important things to be noted down for:

  • Have a sketch of smokey eye in your mind.
  • Draw the eyeliner close to the upper and lower lash line first and sharpened the inner corner of the eye and then, make a nice extended flick that is slightly tilted upwards to the outer corner of the eye (you must be wondering why to do the eyeliner at first – the reason is, it can act like a base and makes the whole smokey eye look much simpler as these guidelines are for beginner and anyway, you get easily touch up the eyeliner again in the end once all the whole smokey eye look is completely done).
  • Stick onto the eyeshadow concentrating around the eyelids as a lighter base so that you could effortlessly able to sweep through the darker shade from the outer to inner part of the crease section and in this way, you get the darker shade at the outer corner and the lighter shade to the inner corner of the eye.
  • Try to get the smokey intense to the outer corner so that it projects your eyes to look bigger.

Products and tools used:

Step by step tutorial:

  1. Apply Laura Mercier eye primer all over the eye.
  2. Then, take the Maybelline NewYork color tattoo 24hr Immortal charcoal gel cream eye shadow and using eye shadow brush, apply it onto the eyelid lightly first and then, build up all across the eye lid later.
  3. Now, take the silver shade from the Maybelline NewYork travel size eye palette and using your fingers just dab it all over the eyelid so that it sets the gel creme eye shadow firmly.
  4. After that, take the Maybelline NewYork master precise liquid eyeliner and draw the line all across the upper and lower lash line with an an extended flick slightly sloped upwards pointing towards the outer corner and a sharp edge to the inner corner of the eye.
  5. Now, take the dark black shade from the Maybelline NewYork The nudes eye palette and using your fingers just pat it gently onto the outer corner of the eye and then, using blending brush, sweep across the crease line by buffing and blending several times to get a buildup of smokey eye look.
  6. Then, using L’Oreal Paris false lash superstar mascara, make a fuller looking million lashes look onto the upper and lower lash lines by making a statement of push, wiggle and stretch movements (here, I haven’t used the eye lash curler to achieve this look and also, it’s optional to use too).
  7. Now, using L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Shaper, get your brow shaped as required.
  8. Finally, do some touch-up onto the eyeliner if anything required to finish off the intense smokey eye look (the picture of completed look is shown at the top of the post).

If you are a beginner, then, this tutorial might be a definite help to get the stunning looking smokey eye look.

Happy Friday all!

My festive-inspired electric cat eye look.

5jul151Recently, on the BET awards, Nicki Minaj and Rhianna went for a fabulous cat eye look on the red carpet, where the first one went for a dramatic eye look and the latter for a stellar eye look and in both ways, their representation of cat eye is so exceptional and absolutely unique and gorgeous in their own ways. So, with that as an inspiration, yesterday, I began working on with some of the different eye looks which are easily wearable and also, a festive favourite too and that’s where I ended up with this beautiful, dual-toned cat eye look and I should say, I am totally loving it at the moment and hence, I thought of sharing the same with you. So, let’s get started.

70’s theme:

As we all know, 70’s theme is incredibly rocking at this time of the year with all of the incredible people out there including celebrities, street stylers and fashion show catwalk models and also, the concept of blue hued eye look is also incredibly trending right now which also got hooked up by ever green fashion lovers and hence, myself, while trying to recreate my eye look, I was quite determined to incorporate all the current trend of 70’s essence to it and that’s why, I ended up with this electric cat eye look, which I could call it as a blue blended cat eye look.

Why did I choose blue colour?

If you are old enough, you could effortlessly be able to recollect the past by going back to a flashback of 70’s fashion or otherwise, you could reach to the ocean of 70’s fashion destination either through films or internet and when you look keenly onto the eye makeup, which is the apple of a makeup, you could easily see the famous ladies there wearing ravishing tints of blue that was slathered and smeared all throughout the eye and that’s the reason, I opted for the shade, turquoise, which is light and vibrant shade which could also tick all the boxes of fashion, style, statement, trend and electric.

What is cat eye?

Many women out there think that cat eye is a tricky subject that is hard to deal with. But, I think the other way as it is super easy to master and of course with a bit of practise as well, which I completely agree on. So, how to achieve a cat eye in an easy way? The surprising part is, it just only takes three easy steps which are:

  1. Firstly, draw the outline by starting from the inner socket of the eye and taking the line straight tilted to the point that is quarter of an inch below to the end of the brow (you can’t go wrong if you take this point right).
  2. Then, bring a line from that point to the end of the outer socket.
  3. Then, fill the gap with the desired eyeliner.

That’s it, the job is done. And, girls – it is that easy peasy and if you get incorrect at the first time, don’t get frustrated and just give up but instead, keep trying and I am sure in your third or fourth turn, you will be a pro. So, try wholeheartedly and after that, it is yours.

Recreate electric eye look:

  1.  Start off the routine with the well cleaned, washed and moisturised face.
  2. Then, just dab a bit of Laura Mercier eye primer all over the eye.
  3. Now, take a neutral toned eye shadow onto the eye lid and crease area and here, I went for a neutral shimmery eye shade from the Maybelline NewYork travel size eye palette.
  4. After that, take the Maybelline NewYork Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner and make an outline of cat eye shape.
  5. Then, take the turquoise kohl pencil from the Barry M Cosmetics and fill it in the first three-fifths of the cat eye.
  6. Now, fill the remaining space with the black eyeliner.
  7. Then using L’Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar Mascara, apply the lashes with lash primer no.1 brush and then follow it by the thick coat of black mascara no.2 brush and apply it nicely to the upper and lower lashes to give a fuller lash effect.
  8. Finish off the routine by shaping your eyebrows with L’Oreal Brow Artist Shaper.

Now, your eye look is ready to show off.

Have a fabulous Sunday all!

Your eyes can speak drama with this party inspired eyelook.

                                                                                            pic 5

Having said that getting ready as sleek and stylish is an ultimate essential when it comes to party and also these days, one can’t deny the fact that it is a tough decision to pick a look that is quite appropriate on what you are looking for, since there are tons and tons of celebrity-inspired featured looks are uploaded onto the web everyday and so, to make your life even easier, today I will be showing you on my version of purple and gold effect party-inspired eye look.

Where can I wear this eye makeup?

As the summer festival season is raving up with full speed at the moment, I think, this eye look can effortlessly be worn to any festival or a summer party and also, it looks absolutely great when this look is accompanied along with by wearing a plain white or pastel coloured summer dress or any kind of floral dress. Too, one important point that is quite keen in here is that you certainly need to opt for a neutral toned face makeup that definitely must be accompanied along with a light toned lip shades as the centre stage of makeup is the eye look.

Products that I have used:

  • Eye lash curler
  • Eye shadow brush
  • Eye blending brush

Step by step of Purple and gold effect eye look:

  1. Firstly, apply the Laura Mercier eye primer all over the lid to give a nice evened out base coverage (as seen in pic 1).
  2. Then, with the help of eye shadow brush, take the purple shade from MAC FARD PAUPIERES on the back of your hand and then, buff it lightly all over the eyelid lightly as you don’t want to put too much at this point and then, carry on building the shade by buffing all around the eye lid.
  3. Now, take the blending brush and run through the brush across the crease area and extend the smokey effect upwards while concentrating on the outer corner of the eye and also, try to bring the purple shade onto the outside of lower lash line and smudge a little bit there as well (as seen in pic 2).
  4. After that, take a swipe of shimmery gold shade from the Maybelline NewYork The Nudes eye palette onto your fingers and dab it gently on the middle of the eye (where the eye-ball sits) to give a nice shimmering feature (as seen in pic 3).
  5. Then, draw a very thin line of eye liner using L’Oreal Paris black eye liner pencil onto the upper and lower lash line.
  6. Now, give a dab of sparkling silver highlight from the Maybelline NewYork travel size eye palette onto the inner socket of the eye.
  7. Then, get ready with your eye brows by using L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Shaper onto the eyebrows.
  8. Now, take the highlighting shade from the Maybelline NewYork travel size eye palette onto your fingers and dab it onto the brow bone to give a light shining effect.
  9. Then, take the L’Oreal False Lash Superstar Mascara and apply the eye lash primer first with the help of number 1 brush and then followed by plenty of coatings of mascara with the help of number 2 mascara brush to give a million lash effect (as seen in pic 4).

Happy Saturday!

My trust worthy summer travel makeup bag.

Today, it is so hot in here and the forecast is to expect to rise temperatures in mid thirties which is unbelievably roasting alike. And, when it comes to Summer, I just stick onto a minimal makeup routine and that’s the reason, today I will be touring around to show you some of my travel-friendly beauty companions that I take along while on move.

1jul152 1jul153

Makeup bag:

To start with, I absolutely adore my Jimmy Choo makeup bag and I am totally in love with it as it is so easy to handle with an added flavour of elegance too and also, this makeup bag gives me a complete 100% satisfaction as I am really into snake-skin patterns at the moment.

Day cream:

From spring time onwards, I started using Nivea Tinted Moisturising Day Cream as a swap to foundation as I wanted a light day cream with a hint of radiance to it and that’s why I opted for this cream and also, my skin looked overwhelmingly confident after using this cream as I don’t get any soreness or irritation when illuminant sun rays falls onto my face as it has the added feature of SPF 15 factor and this cream takes tender care of my skin as soft and manageable throughout the day.

Compact Powder:

I use Rimmel Stay Matte Compact Powder everyday as it is so smooth and literally it blends onto my face as a second skin and it doesn’t look patchy or cakey at all and it lifts my skin with an instant glow.

Bronzer and Highlighter:

Since it is hot summer days prevailing right now, I am purely on a bronzing routine instead of using blusher and I apply bronzer from the Bourjois Duo Bronzing Powder and Highlighter on to my cheeks by manoeuvring around on the lower middle section of the cheek bones and on the upper section, I fill it up with glowing highlighter and this cheek contouring is perfect for hot summer days as your skin tone looks wholly tanned.

Eye Palette:

The neutral eye palette from May Belline NewYork The Nudes is such an affordable, value-for-money product that is plentiful to finish off day-to-day eye makeup and the tones are amazingly fabulous from shimmery to matte tints and they are so pigmented in which case it is easy as just on its own or to build up even more.

Brow care:

My brows are taken care of by L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Shaper and it gives me the desired shape as I always wanted and the reason why I stick onto to brow pencil instead of powder brow product is, I actually love the simplicity and perfection of the brow shape that it draws.

Eye Liner:

My favourite liquid eyeliner pen is Maybelline NewYork Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner which defines the eyeline quintessentially by running along too close to the lash line and  also, the pointed tip makes the winged lining and flicks as good as an artist paintbrush.

Eye Crayon:

As we all know eye crayons are so popular nowadays and I use No.7 Stay Perfect Purple Eye Crayon as it is so versatile to use and I always apply it onto the lower lash line for a daytime look and for night-time, I go for a purple smokey look by blending the outer part of lower lash line with a blending brush.

Lashes up:

If I want more drama to my lashes, then this is the one I always trust on and it is none-other-than, L’Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar Mascara and oh my! it leaves the eyes with million lashes just as a Barbie doll.

My current favourite summer time lipstick is Maybelline NewYork Summer Pink Lipstick which I am fully in love with it.

This comes to the end of the post and I hope you like it.

Happy Wednesday!
